3 Reasons to Consider a Mommy Makeover

Each pregnancy is a unique experience, but the results they leave on your body are often similar: stretched skin, loss of breast volume, and separated abdominal muscles. A mommy makeover addresses these changes to restore your sculpted figure

What is a Mommy Makeover?

A mommy makeover is a combination of customized surgical procedures. These procedures usually address areas like the abdomen, breasts, and accumulations of stubborn fat. A mommy makeover targets the changes caused by pregnancy but can also treat various other concerns to help you achieve your goals.    Mommy Makeover Plymouth Meeting

3 Reasons to Consider a Mommy Makeover

The reasons for choosing a mommy makeover are as unique as women themselves. However, many mention these reasons as factors that helped them make the decision:

It’s Time to Do Something for Yourself

If you ask a busy mother how long it has been since she did something for herself, she may not even remember. A mommy makeover is your chance to change your life and feel better about yourself. Pregnancy and motherhood can be stressful, and you deserve to do something that boosts your self-esteem and confidence.

You Have Several Areas of Concern

Individual procedures like a breast augmentation or tummy tuck can address specific areas. However, many women have concerns in several areas. A mommy makeover is customized to address all your issues during one surgery. As a result, you save money and recovery time over having several procedures separately.

You are Ready to See Results

You may have tried to get your body back after pregnancy with a healthy lifestyle. However, no amount of weight management or physical activity will tighten stretched skin or lift sagging breasts. A mommy makeover is for those who want to see real results from their efforts. A mommy makeover sets you up for lasting success with your ongoing efforts.

What is Recovery Like After a Mommy Makeover?

Your recovery after a mommy makeover will depend on the details of your procedure. You can expect some swelling, bruising, and soreness in the treated areas. Compression garments will protect the areas and help control swelling. Most people with minimally active jobs can return to work in about one week. Those with more active jobs can usually return after two weeks. With your surgeon’s approval, you can return to your exercise routine after four to six weeks.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Mommy Makeover?

A mommy makeover is an excellent option for women with concerns about their bodies after pregnancy. Good candidates are in good health and have reasonable expectations. You should wait at least six months after your last pregnancy to have a mommy makeover. You might not be a good candidate if you have certain medical problems.
