How Does Laser Resurfacing Work?
Laser skin resurfacing can vary, depending on the type of technology being used. However, every laser skin resurfacing treatment has the same goal: to reveal the younger, smoother-looking skin that’s hiding underneath layers of dead skin cells.
At The Pennsylvania Centre for Plastic Surgery, we offer two different types of laser resurfacing treatments:
- CO2 lasers, which vaporizes the top layer of the dermis to reveal refreshed and rejuvenated skin, and
- Radiofrequency fractional lasers, which uses intense pulses of energy to target hyperpigmentation, brown spots, acne scars, and other complexion issues.
Am I a Good Candidate for Laser Skin Resurfacing?
You’re a good candidate for laser skin resurfacing if you have wrinkles, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and other complexion issues that are holding you back from achieving your best skin ever.

What Results Will I See?
