Body Contouring through Liposuction – what does that mean?

Liposuction is a procedure which uses tiny, long, skinny tubes that go in through tiny insertions and suck out fat in the area inserted into. Although liposuction will reduce weight and fat in the area treated, it is NOT a weight loss solution, rather it is a form of body contouring to achieve a more balanced overall body shape.

All of us have been predestined to gain weight and hold on to weight in specific areas of our bodies. Mary may gain and hold on to weight in her thighs, while Jane gains and holds onto weight in her abdomen. Whether it’s the abdomen, thighs, backside, or arms, it is these localized areas of fat that are best treated with liposuction. These areas may be extremely stubborn to diet and exercise and liposuction may be the only way to achieve the kind of results you seek- though a healthy diet and exercise are always recommended for optimal health and physical upkeep.

To learn more about Liposuction and to find out if you are a good candidate for the procedure, schedule your personal consultation with Board-Certified Philadelphia Plastic Surgeon Dr. Scott Brenman.
