How Much Younger Will I Look?

While facelift results can be different for every patient, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons found that, on average, patients felt they looked about 12 years younger after their facelift surgeries. Peeling more than a decade off of one’s appearance is no easy feat – and that’s exactly why the facelift remains such a popular surgical procedure. The facelift is an excellent choice for patients who may be dealing with moderate or severe skin sagging, and just aren’t seeing any improvements via over-the-counter or non-surgical anti-aging treatments.

How a Facelift Creates a Younger-Looking Appearance

The facelift procedure has two main components, both of which can help erase several years off of a person’s appearance:
  1. Sagging facial muscles are readjusted to their previously youthful position.
  2. Excess facial skin is trimmed away after the muscles have been repositioned, which helps to eliminate signs of sagging.
With these two core components of the facelift, patients can expect to see noticeable improvements in their appearance, including smoother skin, fewer wrinkles and fine lines, and more.  Surgical incisions from the facelift procedure are well-hidden, meaning patients won’t have to worry about having their work appear “obvious.” The incisions are typically made in the scalp and around the ears following natural contours, meaning no one will see the scars unless they’re purposefully looking for them. The result is a natural lasting rejuvenation of the face.   I was very apprehensive about having the procedures done (Facelift), although I have been dissatisfied with my face for 20 years. Dr. Brenman and his staff were very calming, reassuring and comforting. Dr. Brenman sent me a very comprehensive email about the procedure and recovery. I am very pleased with the results. There are no visible scars- I look great! Dr. Brenman was there to answer all my questions, in person or by email.*
This visit was a pleasure! Dr. Brenman thoroughly explained my options and did seem rushed. He answered all my questions and made me comfortable with making my decision. Gina was friendly and helpful in facilitating scheduling etc. I feel confident in my choice.
