Leading a healthy lifestyle can get you close to your target weight, but you may still have stubborn areas of fat that refuse to budge. Liposuction targets these areas to remove excess fat and improve your body contours. You can see sculpted, slimmer results that last.
What is Liposuction?
To perform liposuction, a tool called a cannula is inserted into the fat layer through a small incision. Dr. Brenman will then use the cannula to break up fat cells and suction them out of the body. Liposuction is intended as a body sculpting tool and is not for weight loss. People who already lead a healthy lifestyle will see the best results. Dr. Brenman performs liposuction under twilight (oral sedation) anesthesia in the office or under general anesthesia in the operating room as an outpatient.View More Patient Results

How Much Does Liposuction Cost?
The cost of liposuction can be challenging to estimate because there is no one liposuction procedure. A larger area of liposuction will take longer and cost more than a smaller one. Your provider and their location will also affect your pricing. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons found that the average cost of liposuction is $3637, which varies depending on the siza and number of area being treated. You may also have other associated costs, including anesthesia. What is SmartLipo?
While traditional liposuction uses a cannula to manually break up fat for removal, SmartLipo uses a gentler and less invasive technique. During SmartLipo, a thin laser fiber is inserted through a tiny tube. The energy from this laser liquifies the fat cells, making them easy to remove with much less suction. This minimizes bruising and swelling, and the heat helps tighten the skin and prevent bleeding.Liposuction Consultations Available

Where Can You Have Liposuction?
You can have liposuction almost anywhere on your body where you can accumulate stubborn fat. This includes, but is not limited to:- Upper arms
- Inner and outer thighs
- Abdomen
- Flanks
- Hips
- Under the chin
What is Recovery Like From Liposuction?
With traditional liposuction, you will have swelling and bruising that last for several weeks. You should rest as much as possible during the first few days to let your body heal, although Dr. Brenman will recommend moving around to encourage circulation. People with light activity jobs can usually go back within a week. Those with more active jobs may need to wait two or three weeks. Recovery from SmartLipo happens much faster. Within just a day or two, you may feel close to normal and can resume most activities after a few days. SmartLipo makes a good option for people who do not have time for recovery from traditional liposuction. This visit was a pleasure! Dr. Brenman thoroughly explained my options and did seem rushed. He answered all my questions and made me comfortable with making my decision. Gina was friendly and helpful in facilitating scheduling etc. I feel confident in my choice.
