Is Juvederm Only for Lips?

Lips are having a moment. From Instagram influencers to mega reality-stars-turned-makeup-mavens, more people than ever are looking to plump up their pout – and they’re turning to Juvederm to do it.

But is Juvederm only for lips? What else can Juvederm injections be used for?

All About Juvederm

Juvederm – a product line developed by Allergen – is the umbrella term used to describe a family of dermal fillers designed to plump skin and minimize signs of aging. Dermal fillers typically contain a hyaluronic acid solution, and Juvederm is no exception. This solution acts as scaffolding underneath sunken skin areas, creating lift and smoothing out deep facial folds and crevices.

Additionally, the hyaluronic acid gel’s properties promote water retention and boost collagen production for skin that glows.

Juvederm injections take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to perform, depending on the treatment site. Results can last about six to eighteen months, based on the Juvederm product and treated areas.

The Most Popular Juvederm Injections

Now let’s get to the pressing question: Is Juvederm only for lips?

Fortunately, the answer is a resounding no; in fact, Juvederm has a wide variety of facial fillers that can be used to treat your biggest cosmetic concerns. At The Pennsylvania Centre for Plastic Surgery, we’re pleased to offer the following Juvederm fillers to our patients:

  • Juvederm Voluma: If you have sunken cheeks or see a lot of wrinkles around your mid-facial region, this dermal filler is exactly what you’re looking for. One injection can lift sunken cheeks, creating a youthful apple-like cheek that looks incredibly natural.
  • Juvederm Vollure:Got deep facial folds and wrinkles around your nose and mouth? This dermal filler is designed to smooth away nasolabial folds without interfering with your natural lip movements.
  • Juvederm Volbella: This dermal filler is made exclusively to plump up lips and minimize smoker’s lines – all without creating artificial “fish lips” or interfering with your natural smile.

This is my 2nd procedure with Dr Brenman and I will continue to go back for sure. I went in for my1 year post op appointment after my breast augmentation and to ask about lip fillers, ended up getting it done right then and there! If I had just done the lips, it would have been around $650 but I also got a slightly firmer type of juvederm injected into the lines next to my nose (nasolabial). He puts a numbing cream on first and let’s it sit for about 15 minutes, and the cream really works! I barely felt the needle on my face, could feel it a bit more going into the lips, but it wasn’t bad at all. Less painful than getting novacaine at the dentist. The procedure takes about 20 minutes. It looks great, lip shape is the same, just plumper and enhanced. Lines by my mouth are GONE.

This visit was a pleasure! Dr. Brenman thoroughly explained my options and did seem rushed. He answered all my questions and made me comfortable with making my decision. Gina was friendly and helpful in facilitating scheduling etc. I feel confident in my choice.
Happy Patient
