What is Femilift?FemiLift uses a CO2 laser inside a small instrument that delivers painless heat to the vaginal walls. This heat triggers the production of collagen and elastin, two structural elements that give skin its resilience and firmness. Dr. Kathleen Brenman uses FemiLift to improve incontinence, tighten the vagina, and restore sexual enjoyment.
How Does FemiLift Work? The FemiLift laser emits energy that turns into heat on contact with the walls of the vagina. This triggers the cells to begin producing more collagen and elastin. The decline of these proteins in the vaginal walls causes laxity and poor tone. Restoring them improves tightness and flexibility. The effect is so powerful that the firming and tightening also improves bladder support to decrease incontinence.
Are There Any Side Effects of FemiLift? Most women will not experience any side effects after a FemiLift treatment. The most common side effects include minor cramps and a watery discharge spotted with blood. Any discharge should stop within about three days. Following Dr. Brenman’s post-treatment instructions can minimize the possibility of side effects.
