Age, weight loss, and pregnancy can lead to volume loss and sagging breasts. A breast lift can restore your youthful-looking contours with firm, perky breasts. A breast lift can improve the appearance of drooping and skin laxity by removing excess skin and repositioning breast tissue.
What is a Breast Lift?
Do you feel unhappy with breasts that have lost volume or started to sag? A breast lift can restore your firmer, younger-looking breasts. You may choose a breast lift alone, in combination with an augmentation or reduction, or as part of a mommy makeover. A breast lift offers the best solution for sagging or drooping, giving you lifted, shapely breasts that achieve the bustline you want to see.

How is a Breast Lift Performed?
Dr. Brenman customizes each breast lift to meet your needs. He uses several types of incisions based on the type of lift you need. One incision usually goes around the areola. When breasts droop, the areolas often start to point downward, so a breast lift repositions them to correct this. Dr. Brenman will review the details of your procedure, so you know exactly what to expect.
Is a Breast Lift Right for Me?
You may have concerns about your breasts that go beyond skin laxity and sagging. In these cases, Dr. Brenman may recommend another procedure instead of or in combination with a breast lift.
Breast Lift vs. Breast Augmentation
If you have lost breast volume, a lift may not give you the size and projection you hope for. Breast augmentation can use implants to restore lost volume and shape. A lift in combination with augmentation will make sure you have no loose skin to interfere with your results and will give you fuller, more youthful breasts.
Breast Lift vs. Breast Reduction
If your breasts sag because of their size, you may benefit from a breast reduction. If your skin has good elasticity, removing excess weight from the breasts may allow your skin to tighten by itself. If you have too much sagging for your skin to tighten naturally, a breast lift can remove excess skin and reposition your areolas.

What is Recovery Like From a Breast Lift?
You will have a fitted garment to wear after surgery to support your results and control swelling. Most people can return to work in about a week. If you have a more physically demanding job, you may need to wait longer. Dr. Brenman will approve a return to your usual exercise routine after about four to six weeks.
Am I a Good Candidate for a Breast Lift?
Good candidates for a breast lift have no major health problems and do not smoke. Dr. Brenman will discuss your procedure and make sure you have reasonable expectations. You may not make a good candidate if you have certain health issues.
