3 Signs You Should Consider a Facelift

A facelift can help you overcome the most obvious signs of aging. As you get older, your body will naturally undergo processes that change different aspects of your appearance. Many people experience signs of aging that can cause confidence concerns. With a facelift, you have a solution to this problem, restoring your youthful complexion.

Facelift Overview

Also known as a rhytidectomy, a facelift will help to remodel the sagging skin of your face. It can often be combined with liposuction to remove excess fat in the lower portion of your face, making you look younger and more defined.  Facelift surgery typically takes between 3-4 hours, involving incisions near the ear and into the hairline. The skin is then lifted and pulled up, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, while tightening the neck muscles at the same time.

3 Signs You Should Consider a Facelift

This procedure is not suitable for everyone, but there are some key signs that indicate it might be worthwhile for you:

#1 You Are Experiencing Sagging Facial Skin

Have you discovered that the skin on your face is starting to sag more and more? Perhaps your cheeks have started drooping, or you just notice a lack of elasticity and firmness in your face. If this is the case, a facelift can help you tighten sagging skin and make you look younger

#2 You Are Experiencing Facial Volume Loss

Does it look as though the skin on your face has lost volume? Maybe your cheeks are slightly sunken, or it seems as though everything is thinner than it used to be. This happens as you age due to a lack of collagen. A facelift can address these concerns to reveal a more youthful look.

#3 You Are Experiencing Decreased Confidence Due to Aging

Do you look in the mirror every day and touch your face wondering where the time has gone? If you are self-conscious about deep wrinkles and it’s affecting your social life/mental health, a facelift could help you out.

Benefits of a Facelift

The primary benefit of a facelift is that it will make you look younger. It will iron out wrinkles, tighten your skin, and give your jawline a more defined look. The results are clear for all to see, taking many years off your face! You will have a newfound confidence in yourself, feeling as though you are much younger than you are. Additionally, the results of a facelift are shown to last for an extremely long time, making this a great long-term solution to slow down the signs of aging.

Am I a Candidate for a Facelift?

Are you experiencing any of the three signs mentioned above? If so, you could be a candidate for a facelift. You should also be prepared to take time away from work to recover after facelift surgery, and you need to have realistic expectations going into the procedure. Further details can be discussed with Dr. Brenman when booking a consultation.    “After losing 87 pounds I decided I would treat myself and get a tummy tuck that I have been wanting for some time. I researched and thought Dr Scot Brenman would be best. Well suffice it to say I am not thrilled with my results. Ultimately my tummy is flatter which was what I wanted but my belly button is 2 inches above the incision line which I hate! He promised lipo which til this day I’m betting he didn’t do! Also his aftercare was thee WORSE! He never followed up with me after the removal of my drains! No way will he receive another one of my hard earned dimes!” *
This visit was a pleasure! Dr. Brenman thoroughly explained my options and did seem rushed. He answered all my questions and made me comfortable with making my decision. Gina was friendly and helpful in facilitating scheduling etc. I feel confident in my choice.
