Do you struggle with large, sagging breasts? The extra weight of large breasts pulls them downward over time, and pregnancy or weight changes make this effect worse. Dr. Brenman may recommend breast reduction, a breast lift, or both. Combining these procedures may produce better results than either one alone.
What is Breast Reduction?
Women with large breasts experience many issues, including back pain, discomfort, and difficulty finding clothes. Your large breasts will also experience the effects of gravity, leading to sagging. Breast reduction is a way to achieve proportionate breasts that make you feel comfortable. This procedure removes excess skin, fat, and breast tissue to decrease your breast size. However, breast reduction alone will not correct significant sagging.View More Patient Results

Can You Combine Breast Reduction With a Breast Lift?
Large breasts and breast sagging often occur together. Combining breast reduction with a breast lift is common and effective. Combining both procedures into one surgery does not increase your recovery time and often helps you achieve better results. A breast lift will reposition your breasts to a more perky, youthful position. Dr. Brenman will use many of the same incisions for both procedures. What is Recovery Like After Breast Reduction?
You will need someone who can transport you home and stay with you the night after your procedure. You can gradually resume light activities over the next few days. Many people with non-active jobs can return to work in about one week. You can usually return to physical activities after four to six weeks.Breast Reduction Consultations Available

What are the Benefits of Breast Reduction With a Breast Lift?
A breast reduction with a breast lift can greatly impact your self-esteem. Some of the benefits of this procedure include:- Choose clothes you enjoy instead of those that fit your large breasts
- Engage in activities that would have been uncomfortable before
- Reduce back and shoulder pain
- Achieve more shapely, lifted breasts
- Feel more confident
- Enjoy a balanced, proportionate figure
Am I a Good Candidate for Breast Reduction?
Most women with large breasts make good candidates for breast reduction. If you also have concerns about drooping or sagging breasts, you may be a candidate for a breast lift at the same time. Ideal candidates are in good health and have reasonable expectations. You should not have a breast reduction or a breast lift while pregnant or if you have certain medical conditions.Dear Dr. Brenman:
“It was hard to find the right card to thank you for my beautiful breasts and body! There really aren’t too many out there!
Anyway, you are a master at your craft and I am so pleased with the results of my surgery. You are the only plastic surgeon in Philly as far as I am concerned!
Thanks also to your staff who are always polite and professional.”*
