Your face is prone to many things that can cause it to age a lot faster than you’d like. Exposure to the sun can cause wrinkles, as will repetitive facial movements. Of course, you still have to deal with the natural aging process, with a reduction of collagen causing your skin to loosen and sag.
The good news is that there are treatments that attack the signs of aging and slow down the process for you. One of the treatments offered by Dr. Brenman is a brow lift, which has proven to be highly popular amongst patients.
What Does a Brow Lift Treat?
A brow lift will predominantly treat wrinkle lines that develop horizontally across the forehead. It can also treat frown lines between the eyebrows, and be used to iron out wrinkles around the bridge of your nose. Many patients will also undergo a brow lift to raise sagging brows that might be causing hooding in their eyelids.
About Your Brow Lift Procedure
A brow lift is a surgical procedure, and there are two different types of procedures offered by Dr. Brenman:
- Endoscopic eyebrow lift
- Direct eyebrow lift
An endoscopic eyebrow lift will make incisions within the hairline, so they are hidden after the surgery. From here, your doctor can access key muscles in the forehead/eyebrow region, allowing them to be repositioned and adjusted as required. The skin is also pulled up and stretched out, smoothing out wrinkles in the area.
A direct eyebrow lift requires incisions straight above the eyebrow or within the folds of the upper eyelid. This provides better access to the muscles, making it easier to adjust them. The trade-off is that the incisions will be more visible.
A full discussion as to which of these treatments suits you the best will be had during your consultation with Dr. Brenman, ensuring you get the perfect one for your needs.

Brow Lift Recovery and Results
It is normal to take 3-5 days off work following your brow lift surgery. Swelling and bruising will be present during this time, but both should fade after a week. Dr. Brenman doesn’t recommend returning to vigorous activities for at least a few weeks after surgery.
As far as the results go, you can see them almost immediately after the surgery as your skin is visibly tighter and the wrinkles are no longer as pronounced. However, you will continue to see the results improve as the healing process goes on. After about 6 months, when all swelling and bruising has fully gone, you will notice a far more youthful appearance in your face.
Benefits of a Brow Lift
A brow lift provides you with a solution to slow down the aging process in your face. It is proven to deliver long-lasting results that leave you with tighter skin around the forehead/eyebrow region. You can appear younger and more alert, boosting your self-confidence.
Am I a Candidate for a Brow Lift?
Do you suffer from forehead lines or wrinkles around the eyebrows and the bridge of your nose? If your skin feels lax in the upper portion of your face, a brow lift might be the right treatment for you.
